Unified Democracy As a Platform for World Progress & Stability
The direction in which our world is moving is now abundantly clear. In which the USA seeks to dominate and rule the Western hemisphere – with Russia and China the Eastern. But with China also playing the long game –strategically planning world domination by control of key resources and by other pervasive means.
In this emerging geopolitical scenario, the 32 countries of Western Europe (the European Economic Area + UK) sandwiched between the two, are perceived as weak and vulnerable by Russia in military terms and by China in socioeconomic & ideological terms.
The principles of Democracy therefore now under threat as never before as an authoritarian Russia threatens us daily and as an increasingly authoritarian USA disengages. A friendly-looking China seeking to spread the influence of New Marxism by seeking alliances (with France, Italy the UK etc.) to demonstrate how its people reap the economic benefit of its huge industrial base as our own economies struggle.
Whilst at the same time, democracy is increasingly under threat from within as outdated and polarizing governmental systems, seen as self-serving, implode under declining public trust in the politicians seen as failing to meet their reasonable expectations.
Life in the EEA and UK is therefore becoming increasingly precarious – both by social discord and political discontent from within, and by military and socioeconomic pressures and threats from without (primarily from Russia and China).
UK Transition to Unified Democracy therefore provides a potential model for a unified system of democracy to enable the restoration of faith in democracy and trust in politics that has been lost, to a greater or lessor extent, across all 32 EEA States. An upgrade easily and practicably achievable (subject to the inevitable political opposition) – to protect our freedom and democracy from the forces of creeping authoritarianism – either grown internally (as in the USA) or exerted externally (as by China).
Thereby opening the potential for the UK to join the EEA (as for Norway and Iceland), enabling free-movement of people, products & services – but outside of the tightly politically-controlled EU27 Brussels-based Federation – progressively being seen by its member states as a failed model.
Because Unified Democracy is a devolved, Sector-Base system of Government, it facilitates inter-state peer-to-peer cooperation on a sector-by-sector basis. Thus a capability for economy of scale in R&D and minimising timeframes in the deployment of best practices for Healthcare / Pandemic Control, other public services and infrastructures (Energy, Water, Transportation etc). Promoting joint collaboration in AI and weapons development towards a strong NATO in the event of its USA withdrawal.
Thereby a means to bring stability and peace into our world by a strengthened EEA (with a total GDP even larger than China’s), counter -balancing the pervasive” “might is right” western and eastern power blocks. Maximising the potential for future generations and establishing an enhanced platform for management of our ecosystems & climate by an upgraded global economic influence.
